More than 200 teachers were arrested after a rally outside the Parliament building in the capital city Tehran Iran, Wednesday (22/7/2015). A group of activists in exile Iransays this, teachers are demanding the release of their colleagues imprisoned.
Meanwhile in Tehran, Interior Ministry spokesman Hossein Ali Amiri in a press conference said the rally was already dissolved and several people were arrested.
"They were detained for several hours and treated well. While in detention they were given lunch and then freed, "said Amiri.
"However, three or four people who want to make a rally as security concerns are still being held," continued Amiri.
The National Council of resistance of Iran (NCRI), based in Paris, said the Government of Iran making arrests after more than 2,000 teachers from various regions dodemonstrations in front of the Parliament building.
After dissolving the rally, riot police who use motorcycles patrolling the streets andguarding strictly looks at the train stations.
"The number of those arrested in protests that reached 200 people. Security apparatus disperse rallies with repressive ways, including attack participants, "NCRIstatement.
"Face the situation, peace-loving teachers who were forced to perform while continuing resistance berunjuk sense," added NCRI.
The teachers that, further NCRI, demanding the release of a number of political prisoners including Esmael Abdi, the Chairman States teacher imprisoned for fighting for the rights of teachers.
NCRI is a coalition of opposition groups Iran, including the people's Mujahideen organization of Iran by the US put in a list of terrorist organizations.
